Aucun service en français, en plus du harcèlement
Mon argent parle français: ce n'est pas négociable. Les montres Timex sont conçues pour être attrayantes, mais également conçues pour être impossibles à ouvrir, même avec une trousse à outils exprès et avec la pile du numéro qu'il faut pour effectuer un changement de pile.
J'ai retourné deux montres Timex à Toronto, avec lettre en français impeccable, faisant état de la situation et précisant pourquoi il me fallait retourner les deux montres, uniquement pour les piles, après avoir essayé de les remplacer moi-même et m'être fait mal en essayant, soit d'ouvrir une montre, soit d'en refermer une autre. Trop sans-dessein pour comprendre le français, Timex Canada s'est soustraite à ses responsabilités en transmettant ma lettre à son bureau des États-Unis, qui a ensuite mis des mois à communiquer avec moi pour me demander si j'acceptais de verser 60$ pour faire *réparer* mes deux montres, alors qu'elles n'étaient pas défectueuses, mais n'avaient besoin que d'une pile neuve. L'on m'a offert de me retourner les montres, sans y avoir touché, si je refusais de verser les 60$ en question. J'ai refusé, évidemment.
Par la suite, je me suis fait harceler par courriel, à raison de deux messages par jour, toujours le même message, sans réussir à mettre de tels messages sur pourriel. C'est alors que j'ai écrit au Bureau d'éthique commerciale, pour en finir avec le harcèlement de Timex. La dernière phrase de Timex a été que, pour sauvegarder sa bonne réputation d'affaires(!), elle acceptait de me retourner, sans frais, mes deux montres, avec une nouvelle pile.
Cela remonte à trois semaines, je crois, et je n'ai encore rien reçu. Alors si Timex veut se plaindre que certains clients lui donnent mauvaise réputation, elle devrait s'acheter un miroir, car tout cela est par sa faute.
